Fly.io is a developer-focused public cloud, running since 2017, that now positions itself around computers for AI agents. Sprites give each agent a persistent Linux machine that sleeps when idle and wakes with its filesystem and services intact, with checkpoints to roll back risky changes, while Fly Machines are hardware-isolated VMs that boot in under a second near users.
