Herdr is a terminal runtime for coding agents: a background server that keeps each agent's terminal alive on your laptop, desktop or a rented machine, so work continues when the lid closes and resumes after a restart. It reads every pane and marks each agent as working, blocked or idle, and agents can drive it themselves through the same CLI and socket API to split panes and prompt each other. It runs Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, opencode and others unchanged, across macOS, Linux and Windows.
