Recordly turns raw screen captures into polished demo videos on macOS, Windows and Linux, adding automatic zooms, a smoothed cursor and backgrounds, and it is free and open source as an alternative to Screen Studio. Editing happens on a drag-and-drop timeline for speed, zooms, annotations and audio, with a webcam bubble that grows and shrinks, and projects save as .recordly files. Look first at the auto-zoom and smoothed cursor on a short capture, which then exports to MP4 or a looping GIF.
